In this week’s NASS Crop Progress report, spring wheat rated good to excellent increased 1 percentage point to 52%. The Brugler500 Index rose 5 points to 344. Crop conditions deteriorated only in Montana (-3) and Washington (-5), while improvements were reported in Idaho (+8), North Dakota (+5), and Minnesota (+4).
According to the European Commission, EU soft-wheat exports from July 1 through August 16 totaled 1.48 million metric tons, significantly behind the 2.9 million tons exported during the same period last year.
