Pune: The Bharat Subcontinent Agri Foundation (BSAF)—a renowned and popular organization—continues its dedicated and serious efforts toward sustainable agricultural practices and community welfare. As part of this ongoing initiative, the organization recently launched a commendable program from its manufacturing unit located in Kurunji village, Bhor Taluka, Pune district.
Under a comprehensive and beneficial campaign aimed at achieving completely chemical-free farming, BSAF head Vivek Agrawal announced the free distribution of high-quality bio-fertilizers to local farmers, a move expected to pave the way for a healthier and more prosperous future. This unique initiative by the organization boasts several key features.
According to Vivek Agrawal, the program sets an ambitious goal to transform over 1,000 acres of agricultural land into fully certified organic rice-producing areas over the next three years.
The aim is to reduce the reliance of crops on chemical fertilizers and pesticides to zero. Farmers will be empowered and equipped to eliminate the use of synthetic urea and harmful chemical pesticides in their paddy fields. Nutrient-rich bio-fertilizers are being made available directly to farmers at a nominal cost, helping to reduce production expenses and increase income.
Vivek Agrawal states that the organization's objective is to build a greener future and encourage farmers to adopt organic farming. A special campaign is being conducted to this end, which is already achieving significant success.
