Wheat sales for the week ending July 24 are estimated between 0.3–0.7 MMT, with the data to be released Thursday morning.
The Bangladeshi government has initially approved the purchase of 220,000 tons of U.S. wheat to ease trade tensions. On Wednesday morning, President Trump posted that tariffs on India will be increased to 25% from August 1, citing trade deficits and India’s purchases of Russian crude oil as the reasons.
SovEcon has raised its estimate for Russian wheat exports in 2025/26 to 43.3 MMT, up from the previous 38.3 MMT estimate. Production is also revised up by 0.6 MMT to 83.6 MMT.
