Weekly ethanol production for the week ending July 25 was recorded at 1.096 million barrels per day, up 18,000 barrels per day from the previous week. Stocks increased by 272,000 barrels to 24.7 million barrels. Ethanol exports rose to 154,000 barrels per day, the highest level in six weeks, while refiners’ ethanol use increased by 3,000 to 920,000 barrels per day.
Traders expect Thursday morning’s export sales report to show corn sales of 0.2–0.8 MMT for 2024/25 during the week ending July 24. New-crop bookings are expected in the range of 0.6–1.6 MMT.
A South Korean importer purchased a total of 195,000 tons of corn in an overnight tender. A Taiwanese importer also bought 65,000 tons of U.S. corn in its tender.
