New Delhi. Recent rains and showers in key producing states have benefited the wheat crop, leading to an improvement in its overall condition.

Weather conditions remain largely favorable for the wheat crop across most regions of top-producing states such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan.

The Central Government has projected that domestic wheat production during the 2025-26 Rabi season will rise to an all-time high of 1202.10 lakh tonnes.

Even if actual production does not reach this exact figure, it certainly appears poised to surpass the output of the 2024-25 season.

The area under wheat cultivation has expanded by over 6 lakh hectares, and the crop is currently in very good health.

The new harvest has already begun arriving in some states, while substantial market arrivals are expected to commence starting next month.
