Purchasing of peas slow due to lack of buyers

Kanpur. Due to increased availability of imported peas, buying of peas remained slow due to which prices of peas declined this week as well. 

Due to increasing imports, there is pressure on the prices of peas. There is an estimation of the possibility of import of about 20 lakh tonnes of yellow peas at Indian ports. Due to increased selling by importers and sluggish demand, the prices of imported peas declined by Rs 50/100 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Mumbai Canada Rs 3900/3925, Russia Rs 3650/3700 ​​and currency Canada Rs 3750 and Russia Rs 3650 per quintal at the weekend. Due to the impact of decline in imported peas and sluggish buyers, buying of desi peas is missing. Due to increased selling pressure and sluggish demand, Kanpur peas witnessed a fall of Rs 25/50 per quintal this week and with this fall, the price remained at Rs 4100/4125 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Lalitpur peas also witnessed a fall of Rs 50 per quintal during the current week and the price remained at Rs 3650/3800 per quintal at the weekend. Due to weak buying, Mahoba peas witnessed a fall of Rs 50 per quintal and the price remained at Rs 3550/3800 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Mauranipur peas witnessed a fall of Rs 50 and Jalaun peas witnessed a fall of Rs 100 per quintal and with this fall, the price remained at Rs 3600/3725 at the weekend and Jalaun at Rs 3681 per quintal. Due to sluggish demand, Orai peas fell by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 3600/3750 per quintal. While no increase or decrease was seen in the prices of Madhya Pradesh peas this week and the prices remained at Bina Rs 3550/3800 and Damoh Rs 3700/3800 per quintal.

Pea dal

Due to the impact of the fall in the price of peas and the demand remaining sluggish, the prices of pea dal saw a decline of Rs 100 per quintal during the current week and the prices at the end of the week remained at Kanpur Rs 4400/4450 and Indore Rs 4500/4850 per quintal.
