Moscow: A leading analytical firm has projected that Russia's total wheat exports for the 2025-26 marketing season (July-June) will rise to a peak of 47.7 million tonnes, an increase of 5.5 million tonnes over the 42.2 million tonnes exported in the 2024-25 season.

Approximately 1.55 million tonnes of wheat were exported from Russia during the first 22 days of the current month (June), with total shipments for the month expected to reach 2.26 million tonnes—significantly higher than the 1.36 million tonnes exported in June 2025. Strong demand for Russian wheat persists across many countries.

The firm's report notes that the condition of the wheat crop in European Union countries is steadily deteriorating due to scorching heat, high temperatures, and a lack of rainfall.

The situation has become critical in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, as there are concerns that both wheat yields and quality could be adversely affected. This situation could present an export opportunity for Russia.
