Myanmar: Rise in Rice Exports
★ In the first quarter of the 2025–2026 financial year (starting April 1), Myanmar exported over 614,000 tonnes of rice and broken rice
★ This data comes from the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF)'s trade statistics.
★ Myanmar exported 142,000 tonnes in April, 529,000 tonnes in May, and 212,000 tonnes in June.
★ The country has set a target of exporting 3 million tonnes of rice in the current financial year.
★ In the previous financial year 2024–2025 (April 1 to March 31), yanmar exported 2.48 million tonnes of rice and broken rice, earning US\$1.129 billion. The target for that year was 2.5 million tonnes.
