Peanut prices fluctuated moderately amid normal trading.
New Delhi. During the week of February 28th - March 6th, peanut arrivals in important markets in major producing states were limited, but due to lower trading volumes than normal, prices fluctuated slightly.
Gujarat
Prices in Gujarat's Rajkot market declined by ₹225 to ₹7,500/₹9,000 per quintal, while prices in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi market rose by ₹200 to ₹6,000/₹6,700 per quintal. Other markets remained largely stable.
Peanut Seeds
Peanut seed prices remained largely stable due to sluggish trading activity. In Solapur, Maharashtra, prices fluctuated by ₹200 per quintal. Peanut seed demand from millers and exporters was weak.
Peanut Oil
Loose peanut oil prices fell by ₹25 to ₹1,650 per 10 kg in Rajkot, Gondal, Jamnagar, and Junagadh. Similarly, the price of a 15 kg tin of oil dropped by ₹140 to ₹2,580.
Branded Oil
Branded oil prices remained stable at ₹2,700 per 15 liter tin in Kota. Filtered oil prices also remained unchanged.
