Moong prices rise due to improved demand
New Delhi. Moong prices have increased during the current week due to weakening of selling at low prices and increased activity of dal millers and stockists. Due to increased demand for moong dal, the buying by moong millers increased this week, which supported the rising prices of moong. Due to increased buying by dal millers, Delhi moong prices have increased by Rs 200 per quintal this week and with this increase, the price reached Rs 8000/8400 per quintal at the weekend.

Rajasthan

Due to weak selling and better buying, the price of moong in Rajasthan mandis has increased by 200/300 rupees per quintal during the current week and with this increase, the prices at the weekend became Jodhpur 6500/8200 rupees, Jaipur 7500/8500 rupees, Merta 8000/8500 rupees, Sumerpur 6000/8200 rupees, Nagaur 7500/8300 rupees and Kishangarh 7000/7500 rupees per quintal.

Madhya Pradesh

At present, good arrival of moong is being received in the producing mandis. Madhya Pradesh: Due to increase in demand from all quarters, prices of moong have registered a rise of Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and with this increase, the prices at the weekend became Pipariya Rs. 6500/8000, Indore Rs. 7900/8000, Kareli Rs. 6800/7800, Jabalpur Rs. 7000/7600 and Khirkhia Rs. 7800/8000 per quintal.

Karnataka

Due to improvement in demand, prices of Karnataka moong have registered an improvement of Rs. 200 per quintal during the current week and with this improvement, the prices at the weekend became Gulbarga Rs. 7500/9000, Bidar Rs. 7100/7565 and Yadgir Rs. 7509 per quintal.

Maharashtra

Due to increased demand from dal millers, Maharashtra moong prices have increased by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this increase, the prices reached Rs. 8000/9000 for Latur, Rs. 8100/10750 for Akola, Rs. 8100\9200 for Barshi, Rs. 8000/8300 for Jalgaon, Rs. 7000/9500 for Ahmednagar and Rs. 7300/7650 for Washim.

Others

Due to support of all round uptrend and increased buying, Dahod moong prices have increased by Rs. 200 per quintal during the current week and with this increase, the prices reached Rs. 8000/8500 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, the prices of Lalitpur moong registered an increase of Rs. 300 per quintal this week and with this increase the price became Rs. 7350/7550 per quintal at the weekend.

Moong Dal

Due to the support of the rise in moong and improvement in demand, the prices of moong dal saw an improvement of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this improvement the price became Rs. 10450/13400 in Delhi, Rs. 10600 in Jodhpur, Rs. 10500 in Jalgaon and Rs. 9600/10600 per quintal at the weekend.
