Throughout October, November soybeans have averaged a closing price of $10.32, boosted by the recent rally. Last year’s harvest price for crop insurance was $10.03, while the spring price was $10.54.
Following the overnight Trump–Xi meeting, Secretary Bessent stated that China has committed to purchase 12 million metric tons of soybeans this year and 25 million metric tons per year for the next three years. Tariffs on U.S. agricultural products are expected to be lifted, making U.S. products more competitive.
