Record Soybean Exports from Brazil to China Expected

Rio de Janeiro. Brazil is expected to continue exporting record volumes of soybeans to China in the coming months. Industry analysts note that China has remained the primary market for Brazilian soybeans for several years, a trend that is unlikely to change.

Brazil is the world's leading producer and exporter of soybeans. Production of this vital oilseed reached an all-time high this year, resulting in massive exportable stocks that can easily meet demand from China and other nations.

In June, China imported 12.08 million tonnes of soybeans from Brazil, a 13.7 percent increase compared to June 2025. Conversely, during the same period, China's imports of US soybeans fell by approximately 21 percent to 1.27 million tonnes. In the first half of 2026 (January–June), Brazil exported 48.32 million tonnes of soybeans to China, slightly below the 48.41 million tonnes shipped during the same period in 2025. India also imports soybean oil from Brazil.
