News Capsule: Bangladesh Procures Soybean Oil and Lentils
★ The Bangladesh government has approved the purchase of 10 million litres of refined soybean oil and 10,000 tonnes of lentils for sale at subsidised prices. The distribution will be carried out under the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) programme.
★ The soybean oil will be procured through a domestic tender process. Five million litres will be purchased from Super Oil Refinery Limited and another five million litres from Shabnam Vegetable Industries Limited at around Tk 186 per litre.
★ In addition, 10,000 tonnes of lentils will be procured from KBC Agro Products at a price of Tk 70.96 per kg.
