According to the Crop Progress report, 73% of the US winter wheat crop had been harvested by Sunday, 1% ahead of the average. Spring wheat was 87% headed, which is 1% behind normal. Conditions for the northern spring wheat crop dropped by 2%, with 52% rated good to excellent. The Brugler500 index fell by 7 points to 338.
This week, the Wheat Quality Council Tour is underway and will share reports on spring wheat conditions via social media.
Bangladesh has signed a memorandum of understanding to purchase 700,000 MT of US wheat annually over the next 5 years. In comparison, total US wheat exports to Bangladesh over the last 5 years amounted to 648,567 MT.
According to this morning’s USDA weekly export inspections report, 732,290 MT of wheat were inspected during the week ending July 17. This was up from 444,631 MT the previous week and significantly higher than the 290,636 MT reported for the same week in 2024. Since the beginning of the marketing year on June 1, a total of 3.021 million MT has been inspected, marking a 13.7% increase over last year.
