The USDA reported a private export sale of 178,000 MT of corn to Japan this morning, including 154,000 MT for the 2026/27 season and 24,000 MT for 2027/28.
According to the Export Sales report for the week ending February 19, total corn sales were 682,804 MT. This was down 29% from the previous week but 1.1% higher than the same week last year. Mexico was the largest buyer with 373,600 MT, followed by Japan with 171,700 MT. New crop sales totaled 11,685 MT.
A South Korean importer purchased 135,000 MT of corn through a tender. Another South Korean importer issued a tender for 210,000 MT of corn this morning. Turkey purchased 350,000 MT of wheat in a tender overnight.
