Expected Sugar Quota for the Coming Month
★ Considering the upcoming festive demand, the monthly sugar sales quota for September is expected to be around 2.25–2.30 million tons.
★ In August 2025, the quota was set at 2.25 million tons, which was higher compared to 2.20 million tons in June 2025 and August 2024.
★ In September 2024, the quota was 2.35 million tons, while in September 2023 it was 2.50 million tons.
★ If the quota is fixed between 2.25–2.30 million tons, sugar prices may strengthen. However, if the quota is above 2.40 million tons, the chances of price rise will be limited.
★ Given the festive demand, there is a possibility that the quota may be set on the higher side.
