The coming week is expected to bring drier weather in the Southern Plains, with light rainfall totals in the east and heavier 1–2 inch totals in the SRW area.
A South Korean importer purchased 50,000 metric tons of wheat from the U.S. FranceAgriMer estimates France’s soft wheat exports outside the EU at 7.85 million tons, unchanged from the previous estimate, while exports within the EU were raised by 0.3 MMT to 7.04 MMT. Ending stocks are estimated at 2.79 MMT, down 0.85 MMT from the prior forecast.
The USDA will not release its weekly Export Sales report this week (which was delayed to Friday due to the Monday holiday) because of the government shutdown. Wheat sales for the week ending October 9 are estimated between 300,000 and 650,000 metric tons.
