Early this morning, Russian President Putin stated that there is a possibility of a peace deal with Ukraine.
Export Sales data released this morning showed wheat sales of 313,516 MT for the week ending August 27. This was a three-week low but 0.17% above the same week last year. Mexico was the largest buyer at 80,400 MT, followed by the Philippines at 57,100 MT and Egypt at 35,000 MT.
Monthly Census data released this morning showed July wheat exports of 1.648 MMT, or 60.55 million bushels. This was down 27.46% year-over-year and was the lowest July level in four years.
Saudi Arabia issued a tender overnight for 535,000 MT of wheat, with the deadline set for Friday.
