Urad prices fall due to slow demand

Chennai. Urad prices declined during the current week due to profit booking at higher prices, increased sales and weak demand. Urad dal millers' buying of Urad remained weak due to weak demand in Urad Dal Gota. Summer Urad is arriving well in the production markets. Due to which pressure is being seen on Urad prices. Chennai Urad witnessed a decline of Rs 100 per quintal in FAQ and Rs 75 per quintal in SQ during the current week due to increased selling by importers and weak buying and with this decline, the price of FAQ remained Rs 9000 and SQ Rs 9900 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Mumbai Urad also witnessed an increase of Rs 100 per quintal this week and the price reached Rs 9300 per quintal at the weekend.

Burma

Due to weak export demand, Burma Urad FAQ has increased by $ 15 and SQ has also increased by $ 15 per tonne during the current week and with this increase, the price remained at $ 1085 FAQ and $ 1180 SQ per tonne at the weekend.

Delhi

Due to the impact of the fall in the port prices and weak demand from the dal millers, Delhi Urad FAQ has decreased by Rs 100 and SQ has decreased by Rs 50 per quintal during the current week and with this increase, the price remained at Rs 9400 FAQ and Rs 10250 per quintal at the weekend. Due to increased selling and weak buying, Madhya Pradesh urad prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 100/200 per quintal in the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Ashoknagar Rs. 6500/8300, Ganjbasoda Rs. 5500/8500, Jabalpur Rs. 8000/9000 and Indore Rs. 9000/9500 per quintal.

Maharashtra

Due to sluggish buying, Maharashtra urad prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal during the last week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Akola Rs. 9450, Latur Rs. 8000/10000, Barshi Rs. 8500/9200, Jalgaon Rs. 8500/9100 and Ahmednagar Rs. 8500/9000 per quintal.

Other

Due to weak buying by pulses millers, Andhra Pradesh's Krishna District Urad witnessed a decline of Rs. 150 and Vijayawada Urad witnessed a decline of Rs. 50 per quintal in the last week and with this decline the price remained at Rs. 9700 for Krishna District and Rs. 9800 per quintal for Vijayawada at the weekend. Similarly, Raipur Urad also witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal this week and with this decline the price remained at Rs. 9700 per quintal at the weekend.

Urad Dal

Due to the impact of fall in Urad prices and weak demand, the prices of Urad Dal have fallen by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Rs. 11300/12550, Bhatapara Rs. 11800/12000, Jalgaon Rs. 12400, Meerut Rs. 10600/11200 and Indore Rs. 12000/12600 per quintal.
