Tuvar prices fall due to slow demand
Mumbai. Tuvar prices have fallen during the current week due to profit booking, increased sales and weak buying. Due to slow demand for Tuvar dal, the demand of dal millers has remained cold, due to which there is pressure on the prices of Tuvar. However, the availability of Tuvar in the market is weak. Due to which a good increase can be seen in Tuvar when demand increases. Due to increased selling by importers and weak demand, Chennai Tuvar Lemon has fallen by Rs 150 per quintal this week and with this fall, the price of lemon remained at Rs 11350/11400 per quintal at the weekend. Due to sluggish demand at higher prices, Mumbai African Tuvar witnessed a decline of 50/100 rupees per quintal and with this decline, the prices remained at Mozambique White 11650 rupees, Gajari 11550 rupees, Malawi 11200 rupees and Sudan New 11800/11900 rupees per quintal at the weekend.
Burma
Due to weak export demand, Burma Tuvar witnessed a decline of 5/10 dollars per ton this week and with this decline, the prices remained stable at 1460 dollars per ton at the weekend.
Delhi
Due to the decline in demand at the port, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed a decline of 100 rupees and Desi Tuvar also witnessed a decline of 100 rupees per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices remained at Lemon 11850 rupees, Maharashtra Line 12000 rupees and Karnataka Line 12100 rupees per quintal at the weekend. Due to increased selling and sluggish buying by pulses millers, Maharashtra tuvar prices declined by Rs. 200/400 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Solapur Rs. 10700/12100, Akola Rs. 12250/12550, Nagpur Rs. 12350/12450, Latur Rs. 11800/11860, Hinganghat Rs. 11300/12300 and Ahmednagar Rs. 11400/11600 per quintal at the end of the week. Due to sluggish demand from dal millers, Karnataka tuvar prices have fallen by Rs. 300/500 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Gulbarga Rs. 11400/12100, Raichur Rs. 9108/12105, Yadgir Rs. 12210 and Talikota Rs. 10969/12319 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to sluggish demand, Madhya Pradesh tuvar prices have fallen by Rs. 200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Katni Rs. 12400/12500, Jabalpur Rs. 9000/11000, Pipariya Rs. 9000/11300 and Kareli Rs. 8500/11600 per quintal. Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak buying, Kanpur Tuvar witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 10900 per quintal at the end of the week. Similarly, Raipur Tuvar prices registered a decline of Rs. 200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 12300/12600 per quintal at the end of the week.
Tuvar Dal
Due to the fall in the price of Tuvar and slow buying, the prices of Tuvar Dal fell by Rs. 100/300 per quintal during the current week and with this rise, the prices at the weekend reached Delhi Fatka Rs. 17050/17500, Katni Fatka Rs. 16300/16500, Akola Rs. 16400/17400, Latur Fatka Rs. 17500/17700, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 16600/17200 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 16700/17100 per quintal.
