Buying of Moong weak at higher prices

New Delhi. Moong prices declined during the current week due to increasing selling pressure at higher prices and weak demand. With favorable weather, a good increase was seen in the sowing area of ​​Moong this year. Till July 26, Moong was sown in 30.37 lakh hectares in the country, which is 3.36 lakh hectares more than the same period last year. Moong crop is still strong in Maharashtra and Karnataka. Sporadic arrival of Moong has started in Gadag area of ​​Karnataka. A good increase in arrival can be seen in the next 10 days. Due to weak buying by dal millers, Delhi Moong prices saw a decline of Rs 100/150 per quintal this week and the price remained at Rs 8000/8600 per quintal at the weekend.

Rajasthan

Due to increase in selling and weak buying, prices of moong in Rajasthan markets during the current week declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal and the prices at the weekend remained at Jodhpur Rs. 6300/7700, Jaipur Rs. 7800/8500, Merta Rs. 7000/8000, Sumerpur Rs. 7000/8000, Nagaur Rs. 7200/7950 and Kishangarh Rs. 7000/8000 per quintal.

Madhya Pradesh

Due to sluggish demand, prices of moong in Madhya Pradesh witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/150 per quintal during the current week and the prices remained at Rs. 6000/7950 for Pipariya, Rs. 8000/8100 for Kareli, Rs. 6200/8120 for Jabalpur, Rs. 6500/7600 for Khirkhia and Rs. 8000/8300 per quintal at the weekend.

Karnataka

Sporadic arrival of new moong has started in the producing markets. With the arrival of new moong, selling pressure increased due to which prices of moong in Karnataka declined by Rs. 200/300 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Rs. 7000/8500 for Gulbarga, Rs. 7009/7206 for Bidar and Rs. 7183/9189 per quintal at the weekend.

Maharashtra

Due to sluggish demand, there was no change in the prices of Maharashtra moong during the current week and at the end of the week, Latur remained at Rs. 8000/8500, Akola Rs. 7400/10550, Barshi Rs. 7000/8500, Jalgaon Rs. 8200/9450, Ahmednagar Rs. 7000/9500 and Washim Rs. 7100/7700 per quintal.

Others

Due to the effect of all-round decline, demand remained sluggish and Jagraon moong of Punjab witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal this week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 6000/8000 per quintal. Due to sluggish demand, there was no movement in the prices of Gujarat moong this week and prices remained stable.

Moong Dal

Due to the impact of fall in moong prices and weak demand, prices of moong dal witnessed a rise/fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and the prices remained at Delhi Rs. 10400/13200, Jodhpur Rs. 9550/10350, Jaipur Rs. 10300, Bhatapara Rs. 9800, Jalgaon Rs. 10500 and Indore Rs. 9200/10800 per quintal at the weekend.
