Peas prices rise due to better buying

Kanpur. Seeing the weak availability of good quality peas at the port, importers sold peas at higher prices this week, due to which the prices of peas remained bullish during the current week. Due to the slow selling by importers and better buying, the prices of imported peas increased by Rs 50/100 per quintal this week and with this increase, the prices at the weekend became Mumbai Canada Rs 3950/4000, Russia Rs 3750/3800 and currency Canada Rs 3800/3850 and Russia Rs 3700/3750 per quintal. With the support of the rise in imported peas, the demand for desi peas increased. Due to increase in buying by dal millers, Kanpur peas prices increased by Rs 75 per quintal this week, with this increase the price reached Rs 4225 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, prices of Lalitpur peas also witnessed a rise of Rs 50/75 per quintal during this week and at the weekend the price reached Rs 3700/3850 per quintal. Due to increased demand, Mahoba peas rose by Rs 100 per quintal and reached Rs 3700/3900 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Mauranipur peas also witnessed a rise of Rs 100 per quintal and with this increase the price remained at Rs 3700/3850 per quintal at the weekend. Due to better buying, Jalaun peas rose by Rs 121 per quintal and reached Rs 3700/3800 per quintal. Due to support from all round rise and increased demand, Damoh peas rose by Rs 75 per quintal and reached Rs 3750/3925 per quintal.

With the support of rising prices of peas, prices of peas have improved by Rs. 50 per quintal during the current week and at the end of the week the prices reached Rs. 4500/4550 in Kanpur and Rs. 4700/4800 per quintal in Indore.
