Gram prices improve due to improved demand

New Delhi. During the current week, the prices of gram improved due to weakening of selling at low prices and improvement in demand. But buying remained calm during the weekend and a fall was seen in prices. The demand for gram dal and gram flour has become weak, due to which the rising prices of gram are not getting support. Due to increased buying by dal millers, the prices of Delhi gram improved by Rs 75 per quintal this week and with this improvement, the prices at the weekend reached Madhya Pradesh line Rs 7850/7875 and Rajasthan line Rs 7900/7975 per quintal.

Port

With the support of the rise in Desi Chana, the prices of Mumbai Tanzania Chana rose by 100 rupees and Australia Chana by 50 rupees per quintal this week and with this increase, the prices at the end of the week became Tanzania 7400 rupees and Australia 7700 rupees per quintal.

Rajasthan

Due to sporadic buying, the prices of Rajasthan Chana improved by 25/50 rupees per quintal during the current week and with this improvement, the prices at the end of the week became Jodhpur 6500/7500 rupees, Jaipur 7925/7975 rupees, Bikaner 7450/7500 rupees, Kishangarh 7000/7400 rupees and Kota 6000/7250 rupees per quintal.

Maharashtra

Due to increased selling and weak demand, Maharashtra gram prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the weekend prices remained at Solapur Rs. 6500/8000, Akola Rs. 7800/7850, Nagpur Rs. 7900, Udgir Rs. 6500/7300 and Ahmednagar Rs. 7500/7700 per quintal.

Madhya Pradesh

Due to better buying, Madhya Pradesh gram prices witnessed an increase of Rs. 100/150 per quintal this week and with this increase, the weekend prices became Ashoknagar Rs. 7500/7600, Ganjbasoda Rs. 7200/7600, Katni Rs. 7850/7900 and Indore Rs. 7700/7850 per quintal.

Karnataka

Due to weak arrivals and increased demand from dal millers, Karnataka gram prices witnessed a rise of Rs. 100/150 per quintal during this week and the prices at the weekend reached Gulbarga Rs. 7800/8000, Bidar Rs. 6555/7575, Gadag Rs. 7852/7921 and Hubli Rs. 6360/7951 per quintal.

Others

Due to increased buying, Raipur gram increased by Rs. 50 per quintal during the current week and reached Rs. 7700/7850 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur gram also increased by Rs. 75 per quintal this week and reached Rs. 7925 per quintal at the weekend.

Gram Dal

Due to sluggish demand, the prices of Gram Dal have fluctuated by Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the current week and with this fluctuation, the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Rs. 9175/9575, Bhatapara Rs. 9350/9550, Katni Rs. 9450, Gulbarga Rs. 9400/9500, Jalgaon Rs. 9400, Indore Rs. 9400, Jaipur Rs. 9050 and Kanpur Rs. 9000/9050 per quintal.
