Sugar Production Rises in Thailand
★ This year, Thailand's sugar production is expected to reach 103.5 lakh tons, an 18% increase from last year.

★ According to UNICA, in 2024-25, sugar production in Brazil's central-southern region fell 5.5% year-on-year to 398 lakh tons by the end of January.
★ According to the USDA, global sugar production in 2025 is expected to increase by 5 lakh tons, reaching 1866.2 lakh tons.
★ Global sugar consumption in 2024-25 is expected to rise by 1.2% to 1796.3 lakh tons.
★ By the end of the 2024-25 season, global sugar stockpiles may decline by 6% to 454.2 lakh tons.
★ Overall, apart from Thailand, the world’s top two sugar-producing nations, India and Brazil, have seen a decline in production due to various factors.
