Strong Government Procurement of Chana in Maharashtra
★ Chana procurement in Maharashtra is gaining momentum as market prices remain below the MSP of ₹5,875 per quintal, prompting increased government buying.
★ In Parbhani and Hingoli districts, a total of 23,836 farmers have registered online across 49 procurement centres.
★ According to reports, around 2.92 lakh quintals of chana have already been procured in these districts, with strong procurement activity also reported from other regions.
★ In some districts, procurement is said to have reached nearly 50% of total arrivals.
