Export Inspections data showed soybean shipments at 586,427 MT (21.43 million bushels) for the week ending March 26. This was down 28.3% from the previous week and 47.4% lower than the same week last year.
China was the largest destination with 270,424 MT, followed by Indonesia with 80,716 MT and Egypt with 53,245 MT.
Total shipments for the current marketing year have reached 29.182 MMT (1.072 billion bushels), which is down 27% compared to last year.
The upcoming NASS March Planting Intentions report is expected to show soybean acreage at 85.55 million acres, which would be about 4.33 million acres higher than last year.
Ahead of the Grain Stocks report, soybean stocks as of March 1 are estimated at 2.067 billion bushels, up 158 million bushels from a year ago.
In Brazil, AgRural reported that soybean harvest has reached 75% completion, with production estimated at 178.4 MMT, up 0.4 MMT from the previous estimate.
