सरकार ने सर्कुलर जारी कर बासमती चावल के न्यूनतम निर्यात भाव (MEP) को हटाया
★ पहले बासमती चावल पर 1200$/टन का न्यूनतम निर्यात भाव (MEP) लगाई गयी थी जिसे घटाकर 950$/टन किया गया अब बासमती चावल पर कोई MEP नहीं लगेगी। MEP लगाये जाने के बाद बासमती चावल की कीमतों में देखी गयी थी गिरावट।
★ गत सीजन के मुकाबले इस सीजन में बासमती चावल की कीमतें 1000 रुपए प्रति क्विंटल घटी थी।
★ गत सीजन में किसानों को मिले थे अच्छे भाव, चालू सीजन में बिजाई बढ़ी। मौसम भी दे रहा है धान का साथ, उत्पादन अच्छा होने की उम्मीद।
★ केंद्रीय पूल में चावल का स्टॉक अच्छे मात्रा में उपलब्ध।
★ किसानों को अच्छे भाव मिलने के उद्देश्य से यह कदम उठाया गया।
★ हरियाणा में आगामी चुनावों को देखते हुए यह फैसला लिया गया।
★ देखना होगा कि भविष्य में गैर बासमती चावल के निर्यात नियमों में बदलाव किया जाता है या नहीं।

The government issued a circular and removed the minimum export price (MEP) of Basmati rice.
★ Earlier, the minimum export price (MEP) of 1200$/ton was imposed on Basmati rice, which was reduced to 950$/ton. Now there will be no MEP on Basmati rice. After the imposition of MEP, a decline was seen in the prices of Basmati rice.

★ It remains to be seen whether the export rules of non-Basmati rice are changed in the future or not.
