★ During the week ending May 21, the United States exported 0.37 million tonnes of wheat, which was 55% higher than the previous week but 35% lower compared to last year. Japan purchased 0.073 million tonnes, while Mexico bought 0.068 million tonnes.
★ Total wheat exports in the current season have so far reached 23.48 million tonnes.
★ According to the NASS report, wheat sowing in the United States had reached 89% by last Sunday. Around 26% of the crop is reported to be in excellent condition.
★ A flour mill in South Korea has issued tenders to purchase 0.1 million tonnes of wheat from the United States and Canada, with the auction scheduled for today.
★ According to the European Commission report, wheat production in European Union countries could reach 127 million tonnes, which is 0.4 million tonnes lower than the previous estimate. Wheat stocks were also reported to decline by 0.5 million tonnes from last month to 14.1 million tonnes.
