News Capsule: U.S. field pea seeding 75% complete
★ Field pea planting in the United States was estimated at 75% complete as of May 26, according to USDA crop progress data. This was below last year’s 81% pace and also lower than the recent average of 79%.
★ Among the reporting states, seeding progress was most advanced in Montana, where 66% of the intended acreage had been planted, representing about 610,600 acres based on this year’s planting intentions.
★ In North Dakota, field pea seeding was reported at 78% complete, covering an estimated 280,800 acres.
