News Capsule: Indonesia’s Palm Oil Exports Rise in June
★ Indonesia’s palm oil exports increased to 2.75 million tonnes in June, up sharply from 1.49 million tonnes in May. However, exports were lower than the 3.05 million tonnes shipped in June last year.
★ Refined palm oil exports stood at 2.21 million tonnes. China was the largest buyer at 505,000 tonnes, followed by India at 361,000 tonnes, Pakistan at 279,000 tonnes and the EU at 213,000 tonnes.
★ In the first half of 2026, Indonesia exported 13.3 million tonnes of palm oil, up 650,000 tonnes from the same period last year.
★ However, exports are expected to decline in the second half of the year due to lower production and higher domestic consumption, mainly for the biodiesel sector.
