ICE cotton futures saw a rebound on Wednesday, with front-month contracts closing 20 to 25 points higher. On Tuesday, the U.S. dollar index fell by $0.400 to $98.410, while crude oil rose $0.05 per barrel.
Tuesday’s online auction from The Seam showed just 45 bales sold at an average price of 47.24 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index dropped another 35 points on October 14 to 74.95 cents. ICE certified cotton stocks were unchanged on October 14, holding steady at 16,593 bales.
