Cotton futures posted gains on Tuesday, with contracts closing 30 to 53 points higher. Crude oil futures fell by $1.13 per barrel to $60.16, while the U.S. dollar index slipped by $0.043 to $98.520.
The Seam’s online auction on Monday reported sales of 2,151 bales at an average price of 61.44 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index rose 5 points on October 27 to 75.60 cents. ICE-certified cotton stocks remained steady on October 27, at 17,552 bales.
