According to the WASDE, the 2024/25 carryout estimate was raised by 207 million bushels to 1.532 billion bushels. This increase was expected from the September Grain Stocks report, which lifted the total 2025/26 supply by 144 million bushels to 18.309 billion bushels.
Other demand changes were mainly from exports (+100 million bushels), which limited the 2025/26 carryout increase to just 44 million bushels, taking it to 2.154 billion bushels. The cash average price was also raised by 10 cents to $4.00.
World corn ending stocks are estimated at 281.34 MMT, down 0.06 MMT from the September report. The reduction mainly came from a 3.16 MMT cut in China’s estimates, offsetting the rise from the US.
USDA also released the backlog of flash sales from October 1 to November 12, reporting 4.915 MMT as large sales (over 100,000 MT). Of this, 4.367 MMT was for the current marketing year and 548,640 MT for 2026/27.
