Export Sales data will be updated Thursday morning. Analysts surveyed by Reuters expect wheat bookings for the week ending September 10 to range between 150,000 and 500,000 metric tons.
According to StatsCan, Canadian wheat production for 2026/27 is estimated at 36.12 million metric tons, down 10.9% from last year. Spring wheat production is also estimated to decline 10.9% to 26.452 million metric tons.
FranceAgriMer estimates French wheat exports outside the European Union at 6.3 million metric tons, down 0.7 million metric tons from its previous estimate. Exports within the EU are estimated at 7.1 million metric tons, down 0.3 million metric tons from the previous estimate.
FranceAgriMer also lowered its estimate for French wheat ending stocks by 0.65 million metric tons to 3 million metric tons.
Ukraine’s Agriculture Ministry estimates 2027 winter wheat acreage at 4.5 million hectares, or 11.12 million acres. This is 200,000 hectares, or approximately 490,000 acres, below last year.
SovEcon estimates combined wheat exports from Russia and Ukraine during the July–September period at approximately 8 million metric tons. This compares with 16.4 million metric tons during the same period last year.
