ICE cotton futures were steady to 66 points lower, with the front-month October contract leading the decline.
Crude oil prices fell $3.69 per barrel during the session, while the U.S. Dollar Index increased by 0.719 points. As widely expected, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 0.25% on Wednesday and signaled the possibility of another rate hike later this year.
According to The Seam, the average sale price in Tuesday’s sale was 80.51 cents per pound, with a total of 2,380 bales sold.
The Cotlook A Index fell 150 points on September 15 to 96.15 cents per pound.
ICE-certified cotton stocks declined by 532 bales on September 15, bringing certified stocks to 37,930 bales.
The Adjusted World Price declined 441 points from the previous week to 69.51 cents per pound.
