USDA: No Major Changes in Global Rice Outlook
★ According to the USDA, the global rice outlook for 2025–26 remains largely unchanged in terms of supply, while consumption, trade, and ending stocks have seen slight revisions.
★ Global consumption has been increased by 6 million tonnes to 541.6 million tonnes.
★ Global rice production is projected to reach 728.9 million tonnes.
★ Global trade has been slightly revised up to 61.8 million tonnes, with increased exports reported from Burma.
★ Ending stocks have been reduced by 0.5 million tonnes to 187.3 million tonnes.

★ For India, the USDA has made no significant changes to the rice estimates. The figures are as follows:
Production: 151.0 million tonnes
Consumption: 126.5 million tonnes
Exports: 25.0 million tonnes
Ending stocks: 44.5 million tonnes
