Slump in Almond Kernel Prices

New Delhi. Almond kernel prices have seen a decline due to high import volumes during the month of September. In the Delhi market, the price of American almond kernels has fallen to ₹1080–1100, down from a high of ₹1190–1200 recorded earlier in September.

According to available information, a record 2103 containers of almonds were imported in September—the highest volume in history. Sources indicate that a rise in almond kernel prices is unlikely; in fact, further declines are expected now that the buying surge for the Diwali festival has concluded.
