कैनबरा। ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बादाम उद्योग को इस सीजन में 1,66,891 मीट्रिक टन की बड़ी फसल की उम्मीद है, जो पिछले साल से करीब 7% अधिक है। अनुकूल मौसम, बेहतर परागण और 2017-19 के दौरान लगाए गए नए बागानों के पूरी तरह उत्पादक होने से उत्पादन क्षमता बढ़ी है। हालांकि ऑस्ट्रेलियाई डॉलर के मजबूत होने से निर्यातकों की आय पर दबाव पड़ सकता है, क्योंकि निर्यात सौदे अमेरिकी डॉलर में होते हैं। सीजन की शुरुआत से अब तक कुल 1,45,995 मीट्रिक टन बादाम की घरेलू और विदेशी शिपमेंट हुई है, जो पिछले साल से 8% कम है, लेकिन पांच साल के औसत से काफी अधिक है। निर्यात 1,26,123 मीट्रिक टन रहा, जिसमें करीब 59% चीन को गया। भारत ऑस्ट्रेलियाई बादाम का दूसरा बड़ा बाजार बना हुआ है, जहां कुल निर्यात का लगभग 11.6% भेजा गया। इसके अलावा वियतनाम, तुर्की और जर्मनी भी प्रमुख खरीदार रहे

Australia Expects Higher Almond Production; India Among Key Buyers

Canberra: The Australian almond industry is expecting a large crop of 166,891 metric tonnes this season, about 7% higher than last year. Favorable weather conditions, strong pollination, and new orchards planted during 2017–19 that have now reached full production are supporting the increase in output.

However, a stronger Australian dollar may put pressure on exporters’ revenues, as most export deals are settled in US dollars.

Since the beginning of the season, total domestic and overseas shipments have reached 145,995 metric tonnes, down 8% from last year but still well above the five-year average. Exports stood at 126,123 metric tonnes, with nearly 59% shipped to China.

India remains the second-largest market for Australian almonds, accounting for around 11.6% of total exports. Vietnam, Turkey, and Germany were also among the major buyers.
