News Capsule: UP approves ₹30 per quintal hike in sugarcane SAP: Sources
★ According to sources, the proposal to increase the State Advised Price (SAP) of sugarcane in Uttar Pradesh by ₹30 per quintal has been approved by the state cabinet.
★ For reference, in the previous season, the SAP in Uttar Pradesh was ₹370 per quintal for the early variety and ₹360 per quintal for the general variety.
★ In 2021–22, the SAP for the early variety was ₹350 per quintal and ₹340 per quintal for the general variety.
★ This means the new SAP could be ₹400 per quintal for the early variety and ₹390 per quintal for the general variety.
