International Soybean Market
Reports from China indicate that it is considering U.S. proposals for a potential trade agreement.
In the week ending April 29, speculators added just 7,135 contracts to their net long position in soybean futures and options, bringing the total to 38,202 contracts as of Tuesday.
According to USDA data, old crop soybean export commitments are at 47.414 MMT, 95% of the current USDA estimate. This is slightly behind the 5-year average pace of 96% but ahead of last year’s 94%.
StoneX increased Brazil's soybean production estimate this month by 0.9 MMT to 168.4 MMT, citing strong yields in Mato Grosso.
