Pea prices improve due to increased buying
Kanpur. Pea prices improved during the current week due to weakening of selling at low prices and increased buying. The arrival of peas in the producing markets has started weakening. Seeing this, the demand of stockists increased, which supported the rising prices. Due to weakening of selling by importers and improvement in demand, the prices of imported peas improved by Rs 25/50 per quintal during the current week and the prices at the weekend became Mumbai Canada Rs 3650/75, Russia Rs 3575 and currency Canada Rs 3500/3525 and Russia Rs 3425/50 per quintal. Due to increased buying, Kanpur pea prices increased by Rs 50 per quintal this week and with this increase, the prices became Rs 3750 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Lalitpur peas also witnessed a rise of Rs 50 per quintal this week and the prices stabilized at Rs 3250/3400 per quintal at the weekend. Due to better demand, Rath peas saw a rise of Rs 200 per quintal this week and the prices reached Rs 3300/3500 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Jalaun peas also saw a rise of Rs 200 per quintal and reached Rs 3451/3581 per quintal at the weekend. Urai peas also saw a rise of Rs 50 per quintal this week and the prices reached Rs 3300/3450 per quintal at the weekend. Due to the support of the bullish trend and improved demand for peas, prices of peas dal witnessed an improvement of Rs. 50 per quintal during the current week and at the end of the week the prices reached Rs. 3900/3950 in Kanpur and Rs. 4000/4200 per quintal in Indore.
