Tuvar prices decline due to lack of buyers

Mumbai. Due to selling pressure and lack of buyers' support, Tuvar prices remained bearish during the current week as well.  Due to lack of buying of Tuvar dal, buying by stockists and dal millers remained limited, due to which prices continued to fall. Due to availability at the port and increased selling by importers, Chennai Tuvar Lemon witnessed a decline of Rs 75 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the price of lemon remained at Rs 6550/6600 per quintal. Similarly, Mumbai African Tuvar prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 100/150 per quintal this week and at the end of the week, the prices remained at Mozambique White Rs. 6500/6550, Gajari Rs. 6300/6350, Malawi Rs. 6200/6250 and Dodomo Rs. 6200 per quintal.
Burma
Due to increased selling by exporters and weak buying, Burma Tuvar prices witnessed a decline of $20 per ton this week and with this decline, the price remained at $785 per ton at the end of the week.
Delhi
Due to the impact of port decline and sluggish demand, during the current week, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal and Desi Tuvar also witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 7000 for lemon and Rs. 7200/7300 for Desi at the end of the week. Due to increase in selling and slow buying, Tuvar prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices remained at Solapur Rs. 6400/7150, Akola Rs. 7200/7400, Nagpur Rs. 7250/7300 and Dudhni Rs. 6500/7200 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to increase in selling and slow buying, Tuvar prices in Karnataka witnessed a decline of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices remained at Gulbarga Rs. 5600/6900, Raichur Rs. 6342/7052, Yadgir Rs. 6677/7072 and Talikot Rs. 4000/6710 per quintal at the weekend.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to weak buying by dal millers, prices of Madhya Pradesh tuvar declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and with this decline, the prices remained at Katni Rs. 7200/7500, Jabalpur Rs. 5000/6600 and Pipariya Rs. 5500/7250 per quintal at the weekend.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak buying, Raipur tuvar prices declined by Rs. 50 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Rs. 7400/7600 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, prices of Kanpur tuvar declined by Rs. 50 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Rs. 7100 per quintal at the weekend.
Tuvar Dal
Due to the impact of fall in Tuvar prices and weak demand, Tuvar Dal prices have fallen by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the weekend prices of Tuvar Dal have become Delhi Fatka Rs. 10500/10850, Katni Fatka Rs. 10000/10500, Akola Rs. 10100/11300, Latur Fatka Rs. 10800/11000, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 9700/10400 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 10500/10900 per quintal.
