Increase in Ethanol Prices from C Heavy Molasses (CHM)
★ The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the revision of ethanol procurement prices for Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) under the Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) program for the Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) 2024-25, from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025.
★ The administered mill price of ethanol derived from C Heavy Molasses (CHM) for ESY 2024-25 has been increased from Rs. 56.58 per liter to Rs. 57.97 per liter.
★ Ethanol blending by public sector OMCs has risen from 380 million liters in ESY 2013-14 to 7.07 billion liters in ESY 2023-24, achieving an average blending rate of 14.60%.
