Lentils: Pressure Continues
★ Global lentil markets remain under pressure.
★ Confirmation of the size of this year’s harvests in Canada and Australia has added to the downside pressure.
★ Production estimates turned out higher than hoped, leaving global supplies well above expected demand.
★ For the United States, the USDA will release its final production estimate on January 12.
★ In September, US lentil production was estimated at 516,000 tonnes (mainly green lentils), up from 423,000 tonnes in 2024, and no major revision is expected.
