📍 Hyderabad: The upcoming Kharif season of 2025 is set to witness a significant increase in crop sowing area across Telangana. The state government anticipates growth in major crops like cotton, paddy, maize, and soybean.
📊 Crop-Wise Sowing Area Estimates (2024 vs. 2025)
✅ Cotton: 🌱 17.70 lakh hectares → 20.23 lakh hectares
✅ Paddy: 🌾 26.50 lakh hectares → 27.00 lakh hectares
✅ Maize: 🌽 2.20 lakh hectares → 2.50 lakh hectares
✅ Soybean: 🫘 1.61 lakh hectares → 3.60 lakh hectares
🌱 Government Preparations for Kharif Season
🛒 Seed Availability for Farmers
Paddy: 16.70 lakh quintals
Maize: 4.80 lakh quintals
Soybean: 1.35 lakh quintals
Cotton: 89 lakh packets (450g each)
✅ A total of 2.40 crore cotton seed packets will be available.
