Kharif 2025: Steady Growth in Sugarcane Sowing, Area Reaches 55.07 Lakh Hectares

★ Sugarcane sowing has maintained a steady pace in the Kharif 2025 season. So far, 55.07 lakh hectares have been sown, which is 0.20 lakh hectares more than last year's 54.88 lakh hectares.
★ This figure is also higher than the normal average area of 52.51 lakh hectares (based on 2019–20 to 2023–24).
★ Overall, while there's no major jump, sugarcane sowing is showing stable and positive growth.
