China Revises Additional Tariffs on Imports from Canada
China’s Ministry of Finance has issued Tax Committee Announcement No. 2 of 2026, revising additional tariff measures on certain goods imported from Canada.
Under the new decision, from March 1 to December 31, 2026, no additional 100% tariff will be imposed on oilcake and peas imported from Canada, and no additional 25% tariff will be applied on lobsters and crabs.
The revision follows a consensus reached between the leaders of China and Canada and is expected to provide relief to bilateral trade between the two countries.
