Cashew Market: Global Production Hits Record High, India Sees Growth
★ According to international reports, global raw cashew nut (RCN) production in the 2025–26 season has reached a record level of 6.4 million tonnes, with African countries—especially Tanzania—playing a major role in the increase.
★ India’s production is estimated to rise from 615,000 tonnes in 2024–25 to حوالي 725,000 tonnes in 2025–26. Availability of raw material for processing remains steady in both India and Vietnam.
★ Domestic demand in India stayed strong, supported by the festive season. However, at the start of 2026, buying activity in the EU and the US slowed, while demand in Asia also weakened after the Chinese New Year.
★ Despite this, India’s domestic consumption continues to support the market. Overall, strong global supply along with rising production and consumption in India is keeping the market balanced.
