Pre-Monsoon Activity Begins Across India, No Heatwave Expected in March
★ Pre-monsoon activity has started across the country, reducing the likelihood of heatwaves for the remainder of March.
In north India, western disturbances will continue to bring snowfall and changing weather conditions, while northeastern states may receive heavy rainfall over the next 5–7 days.
★ Weather activity is expected to remain active until Friday in Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. States like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal are also likely to witness thunderstorms, providing relief from rising temperatures.
★ South India will also see active weather conditions over the next few days, while Gujarat may experience limited activity but will remain protected from extreme heat.
★ Temperatures are expected to fall in the coming days and then stabilise. However, wind speed will be a key factor to watch—strong winds may negatively impact rabi crops, especially wheat.
