The 7-day forecast calls for less than half an inch of precipitation in western portions of Kansas and the Oklahoma/Texas panhandles, while eastern parts of the Plains are expected to receive heavier rainfall.
According to the USDA’s FGIS report, wheat export shipments for the week ended February 26 totaled 344,272 MT (12.65 million bushels). This was 38.9% below the previous week and 11.98% lower than the same week last year. The Philippines was the top destination at 88,227 MT, followed by Tanzania at 47,000 MT and Mexico at 39,587 MT. Since June 1, marketing year 2025/26 wheat exports have totaled 18.62 MMT (684 million bushels), up 18.82% compared to last year.
Saudi Arabia purchased 794,000 MT of wheat in a tender issued over the weekend.
